And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Rev.12:11
I saw a Lamb standing in the center, near the throne, with the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had its throat cut – with Blood still flowing from the wound. Rev. 5:6 (lit.)
When you entered through the gate into the courtyard of the Old Testament Tabernacle, it was a bloody mess. Blood was everywhere! On the Brazen Altar, on the horns of the altar, on the Laver, on the curtains, on the priest’s ear, his thumb, his toe – blood was everywhere.
The enemy has been orchestrating a secret and successful campaign to do away with, or minimize – preaching, teaching, and faith in the Blood of Jesus.
The carnal, worldly, and natural mind and reasoning of man is repulsed by the Bible’s emphasis on the Lamb’s Blood. They call Christianity a bloody religion. Modern, humanistic, and liberal Christian leaders, and people, have responded by taking hymns about the Blood out of their hymnals, teaching materials, and Bible colleges. Even Pentecostal Bible schools and seminaries caution their students not to make too much of the Blood of Jesus.
Some church leaders are teaching that the Blood of Jesus is just a symbol of His death. Not to be taken literally – what the Bible says about the Blood of Jesus is just a metaphor for the cross.
This modern attack is from hell! The Blood of Jesus is our only defense! The reason that all of us are not in hell right now is because of the Precious Blood of Jesus.
Our main weapon in prayer and life is the Blood of the Lamb. They (the man-child group of Overcomers) overcame the Dragon himself by the Blood of the Lamb. This group kicks the Dragon out of the heavenlies by the Blood of Jesus in Revelation 12.
FAITH IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS – THE LITERAL BLOOD OF JESUS ON THE MERCY SEAT IN HEAVEN – WHICH OUR GREAT HIGH PRIEST SPRINKLED THERE HIMSELF – IS OUR ONLY WAY INTO GOD’S PRESENCE!
Having boldness to enter the Holy of Holies by the Blood of Jesus. Heb. 10:19
Every time we use the Blood (exercise faith in the Blood, plead the Blood, invoke the power of Jesus’ Blood), a CRY is made to God. A CRY goes up to God! God remembers the Cross! He sees His Son suffering and dying in agony on the Cross!
A defense is made for us by the Blood! The Blood of Jesus has a voice – a LOUD voice! The voice of Jesus’ Blood always gets the Father’s undivided attention! Abel’s blood cried out to God for vengeance – the Blood of Jesus cries out for Mercy!
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem … to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. Heb. 12:22-24
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Heb. 13:12
OUR FAITH IN THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT – BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS WHAT GOD THINKS ABOUT THE BLOOD.
When I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you. Exodus 12:13
The word for Passover comes from an old Hebrew word which means, “to crouch at the door to defend – to interpose one’s own person” (Wilson’s Theological Wordbook of the OT). When I was growing up, our church would sing a hymn called, “When I See The Blood”. The words were: When I See the Blood, When I See the Blood, I Will Pass, Will Pass Over You. I always thought it meant that God would skip over their houses.
God wasn’t saying that He would skip over their house and not kill the firstborn. He was saying that He would protect them from the Destroyer, or Angel of Death and Destruction. Some translations read: “I will pass over the door to protect you.”
What God told Moses was – “When I See The Blood on the lintel and doorposts of your humble dwellings in the land of Goshen – and the Angel of Death approaches – I – Jehovah, Creator God – I – Yahweh Sabbaoth – will get up off of My Throne – come down to earth to your home – and I Myself will Stand in front of your door – in front of your home. I will interpose My own person – and I will protect and defend you. When destruction approaches – I will turn him away – and tell him – “You can’t come in this dwelling, because the blood of the lamb is on this door, on this home”.
Praise God! This was the blood of a little animal. HOW MUCH MORE now that we have the real Blood of the REAL LAMB of God!
NOT ONLY DOES THE BLOOD OF JESUS CLEANSE US FROM ALL SIN – BUT IS THE GREATEST POWER OF PROTECTION IN THE UNIVERSE! THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB PROTECTS US FROM THE ENEMY AND ALL OF THE POWERS OF DARKNESS!
Also, Satan fears the Blood of Jesus. He has no weapon or defense against the Blood of Jesus.
The Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
Most importantly, Jesus’ Blood cleanses us from ALL SIN! When we repent – ask God to forgive us of our sins – we need to plead or claim the cleansing and sanctifying power of the Blood of Jesus! Without the shedding of Blood, there is no forgiveness of sin. Jesus shed His Blood, so our blood wouldn’t have to be shed for our sins.
One drop of Jesus’ Blood can wash away the sins of all mankind!
PRAISING THE BLOOD OF JESUS
Many years ago, I read a true story in an old book, about a Methodist pastor, who was Baptized in the Holy Spirit at the Azusa Street revival in the early 1900’s.
He then traveled to India to an orphanage where over 400 orphan girls – up to 14 years old – were being cared for. The leaders were all Baptized in the Holy Spirit. That night, June 30, 1905, he shared with all of the orphans about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit – and when he was done teaching, he asked them how many wanted to be Baptized in the Holy Spirit, and they all raised their hands.
Suddenly, they all heard a loud noise, and all of the girls were Baptized in the Holy Spirit and began to speak in a heavenly language, in other tongues – like in the book of Acts.
He walked around the large building and heard some of the girls speaking in English – when they didn’t know a word of English! He wrote down what they were saying. Some were saying the 23rd Psalm. Others were saying the Lord’s Prayer. But most were praising the Blood of Jesus! I wouldn’t build a doctrine on just this story – but it lines up with the Word of God.
THE HOLY SPIRIT WAS PRAISING THE BLOOD OF JESUS THROUGH THESE LITTLE GIRLS!
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy Blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. Rev 5:9
And from Jesus Christ, who is the Faithful Witness, and the First Begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own Blood.
Since Jesus is THE Son of God, and Divine – everything about Him is worthy of our Praise. Two women in the Gospels praised and ministered to Jesus’ feet!
Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the Precious Blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot.
In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My Blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 1 Cor. 11:25
Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious.
1 Peter 2:7
The Blood of Jesus is the sole basis and ground of our authority and power in prayer. The Cross is where Jesus’ Blood was spilled out and shed. The Cross was the instrument that God used to release the Blood of His Son. The Power of the Cross is the Blood!
There is Power, Power, Wonder Working Power – in the Blood – of the Lamb!
Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in Blood, and His name is called The Word of God. … And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. Rev 19:11-16
